How Video-Sharing Networks are taking over

I chose to do my term-paper on video-sharing apps. Video-sharing can be done for so many reasons. It caught my eye because i see it happening everywhere. I like to use Instagram a lot and i see short videos on there for entertainment, marketing, political purposes and many more. Examples of these apps or networks are: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Vine, Byte and many more. I would like to focus more on TikTok and apps like that because they are used solely for short video making. Some people can see things more clearly by watching a video. Some people understand your movement or your proposition by watching a video. I want to cover all the different ways people use these social networks and why they use it. I want to touch upon how this is changing social media as a whole. I plan to talk about where technology would be without video-sharing networks. I would like to give examples of actual people with their experiences with these apps to get what they want in their message. I want to discuss the effect these applications have on humans. Video-sharing social networks can be used in so many ways which is what makes this topic so dynamic. It's users can be anyone and it's more specific than just social networks which doesn't make it vague. These videos that are being shared can be for the users own entertainment, displaying a message, sponsoring a product or whatever they want to show. Obviously, it must follow the guidelines for the application they're posting it in.  I plan to touch on all these aspects in greater detail. This is a unique subject and i'll try to learn and have fun along the way as i get to know more about this subject.

    Video-sharing apps are really popular today. Every day there's a new tik tok dance especially with everyone being at home due to the Coronavirus. Unfortunately most people don't know Tik Tok is spying on users. An article I read said that Tik Tok has been fined for illegally collecting the data of users under 13 years old. Not many people know this and it's upsetting.

Creativity and New Media

I'm not the most creative person. However, when i try, i can make something impressive. It took some time and dedication. I had to learn on my own but i created my very own website which includes a chessboard. On this Chessboard, instead of black and red squares, i chose the colors of my favorite football team, New York Giants. In some of those chessboard boxes, i included pictures of some of my favorite football players. How did i do this? Intense HTML coding. I have never HTML coded until at most 2 months ago. For me to create a website in that span and code a chessboard makes me feel accomplished. HTML is a tool in today's new media. Advice for Baruch College

If i was hired by Baruch College to help recommend new media to the school, i would offer some great suggestions. First and foremost, i would like to create a free software that allows you to see all the students in your class, their emails and student ID pictures. How it works? Every class you're admitted to, you get a class code with a password. The password will be given to you by your professor. Once you submit the code and password on to the software platform, you see a list of students in your class. This can be a great idea because if you ever want to ask a question to a peer student, you can access their contact information right there. You also know who you're talking to because their ID picture would be right where the contact information is located. This is a good way to collaborate and help each other with homework assignments or practice before an exam if allowed by the professor.
