File Sharing is sharing or transmitting any type of computer data in a network with various access levels. In File sharing, someone can access and transmit data from one computer to another so other users can work on those documents making group work more efficient.  P2P stands for Peer to Peer. P2P file sharing allows individuals to access media files using software program that searches and locates the computer that has the file that is requested.  An example of P2P file sharing is Limewire, one of the most popular p2p network at a certain time. So far on the wiki project, i completed 5 different segments. I have added a paragraph each to the religion page, sports page, streaming services page, dance page and gaming page. For religion, i discussed Ramadan, holy month in Islam. I discussed the importance of Ramadan and what occurs in Ramadan. For the Sports page, i added to the talk shows list which was NFL LIVE. NFL Live is a show that talks NFL. The streaming service page i talked about Prime video and what it has to offer. For Dance, i talked about Drakes Toosie slide challenge and how and why its becoming a hot trend.

How are issues of privacy and confidentiality related to new media?  First off, what is privacy? Privacy. It can be defined as the right to be left alone or confined. Others should have limited access to our sense of selves. If a person chooses not to live in the public eye, people must respect that. Now here's the problem. Almost anything and everything you do online is being watched. Was there ever a time where you talked about a shoe you wanted or inquired about a pair of shoes you wanted, and then it popped up as an AD on a page with ads? Some marketers study the purchase-decision process, track behaviors an collect the data to target consumers without even regarding privacy. People are entitled to privacy online. However, there were numerous cases where the FBI solved cases using internet surveillance.

If i was hired by Baruch College to help recommend new media to the school, i would offer some great suggestions. First and foremost, i would like to create a free software that allows you to see all the students in your class, their emails and student ID pictures. How it works? Every class you're admitted to, you get a class code with a password. The password will be given to you by your professor. Once you submit the code and password on to the software platform, you see a list of students in your class. This can be a great idea because if you ever want to ask a question to a peer student, you can access their contact information right there. You also know who you're talking to because their ID picture would be right where the contact information is located. This is a good way to collaborate and help each other with homework assignments or practice before an exam if allowed by the professor. I'm not the most creative person. However, when i try, i can make something impressive. It took some time and dedication. I had to learn on my own but i created my very own website which includes a chessboard. On this Chessboard, instead of black and red squares, i chose the colors of my favorite football team, New York Giants. In some of those chessboard boxes, i included pictures of some of my favorite football players. How did i do this? Intense HTML coding. I have never HTML coded until at most 2 months ago. For me to create a website in that span and code a chessboard makes me feel accomplished. HTML is a tool in today's new media. We live in a time where we have countless resources of tools that help us have creative and expressive minds. Majority of these tools being social media outlets. For example, Youtube, TikTok or Instagram all share something in common. They allow you to do what you want and how you want it. You can be creative with how you express your feed. You can take pictures and edit them. You can participate in Vlogs and post them on Youtube. You can participate in TikTok challenges for comedy. These are multiple ways for how New media fosters creativity. Its almost as if you can do whatever you want with new media. That's the beauty of creativity.
